Since the introduction of the Vespa in 1946 Piaggio has been the leader in scooter technology and quality. Now, over fifty years since it's development, the Vespa is virtually unchanged. With it's pressed steel monocoque body the Vespa is the only metal bodied automatic scooter on the market. Everything else is just a copy.
How much does a Vespa or Piaggio cost?
We have a scooter for everyone's price range. Our prices range from $1999 to $6499.
How fast do they go?
Speed is all dependent on engine size. Our 50cc engine goes about 40mph, 150cc goes about 65mph, 200cc goes about 80mph, and our 500cc goes about 98 mph.
Can I ride a passenger?
Yes, all of our scooters are equipped for riding two people comfortably.
What kind of warranty does Piaggio offer?
Both Vespa and Piaggio models come with a one year/ unlimited mile warranty. Vespa models also come with one year of roadside assistance. Extended warranty options are available.
Does Vespa New Orleans have a Service Department?
Yes, Vespa New Orleans has a full-time service department staffed with Piaggio Trained Techs.
Do I need a motorcycle endorsement to drive a 50cc scooter?
Yes, according to the Louisiana Office of Motor Vehicles under Section I Number 21 it reads:
The Operator of any motorcycle, regardless of brake horsepower, maximum speed, or size of motor, much have an "M" endorsement on one of the basic classes of operator's license to operate such vehicle on the streets , highways, or roadways in Louisiana.
